GOOD START AT WORLD MICRO CHAMPIONSIP 2015

On Monday morning 11 am, practice race has started. Many crews participate at this last training and adjust equipment to get ready for the start.
2 pm, race committee under Jerome Nutte Race Officer authority, give a first start. As too many Micro were up the line two start were cancelled. Finally a third start was given, but black flag was up, which mean that any boat going up the line before departure will be discarded. Eight of them were discarded.
Micros had to go up a windward buoy at 240 °, and sail back downward.

Approximately one hour after first Micro to cut finish line is RUS 39 followed by a Polish and a Russian boat. First French boat FRA 21947 skipped by Fabien Toureau is 4th.
Around 5 pm a second leg started, after that new departure line had been set up.
As Saumon Futé some Micro among the fleet have an interesting past. First the name is particular, then we can notice that the boat is made of wood! When questioning the crew and his skipper Yffic a guy from Roscanvel you learn a lot on this Micro Proto of first generation. Build at Lucas’ boat yard for 1986 Micro Cup, after a long period without sailing has been refurbished by a team of passionate fellows, and compete again at 2015 Micro Cup in Rade de Brest.
